Like I mentioned, today some of my friends are sharing their Spring home decor ideas for the Dining Room. I hope you liked my vintage and thrifted spring dining room tour! The speckled white pottery bowl ( similar) is a piece I bought from a local potter last year. The bare credenza was tempting me though, so for a short period I decided to reunite my vintage Strawberry Hill pottery Mama Bunny and Baby Bunnies for a spring vignette, along with a thrifted pale blue vintage West German pottery vase ( similar).

I packed them up because I didn’t want them to get broken while we renovate. You’ll be shocked by my credenza – which is usually sporting my massive collection of Iittala Festivo candle holders. I’ve been using the salt & pepper shakers, every day, for years and I love them so much! The vintage Haeger vase, as you know, belonged to my grandmother.

I also thrifted the mod little egg cups and egg shaped salt & pepper shakers ( here are similar egg cups). But once I brought the bowl closer to the big windows, to steal a little natural light, I realized the beauty of the glaze! I blame thrift store lighting! It makes everything look drab or lurid. The green bowl is a fairly recent acquisition: I found it last winter, but almost left it behind! ( This one is sort of similar-ish, but equally beautiful). I love mixing and matching things I already own in new ways!Īmong the thrifted finds are my turquoise pottery mugs – one of my favorite scores ever ( these are similar) – and the gorgeous pottery bowl. The little berry basket was in heavy use last summer when our raspberry bushes were in max production – but now they’re holding some fresh eggs from our hens. You saw the linens last summer and I used the egg plates in another spring tablescape a couple years ago. The soft aqua napkins with little white sprigs are from Loom & Table (so is the chic white table runner), and the small egg plates are from HomeSense. They’re so beautiful – they look like vintage brooches. She also found those vintage yellow enamel napkin rings ( here’s similar) but, again, I’ve had them in my possession for a few years now. Two of my best stolen finds are on this table: the beautiful moss green Iittala votive holders were lifted from my Mom, many years ago, lol! We eventually “traded”: I gave her some clear Iittala candle holders and a small Iittala bowl I had thrifted. After we renovate, I won’t have open shelving in the kitchen anymore, so I’ll need to do this regularly so my pretty things get to see the light of day! I decided to put together a cheery spring tablescape, using a lot of my favorite thrifted ( and stolen, lol!) finds, just to have a little spring fun. Vintage and Thrifted Spring Dining Room Decor: There’s a stark difference between the cheery view inside my home:Īnd the dreary view outside these windows: My blogging friends are sharing their spring dining room decor ideas with you too!.I needed a spring pick-me-up, after the wild amounts of snowfall we’ve had lately.I shopped my house and didn’t buy a single thing (only fresh flowers).
